Primary Grade Teacher (Grades 1-5)
Grade-Level Specific Responsibilities:
Primary Grade Teacher (Grades 1-5)
Deliver a rigorous, standards-based curriculum integrating Catholic teachings.
Encourage reading fluency and comprehension through guided reading strategies.
Develop students’ problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning.
Utilize project-based and experiential learning opportunities.
Instill leadership and responsibility through class jobs and service-learning projects.
Qualifications:
⚫︎ Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s preferred for middle school).
⚫︎ Valid Hawaii Teaching License or ability to obtain one.
⚫︎ Practicing Catholic preferred; commitment to Catholic values and mission required.
⚫︎ Experience working with children in an educational setting.
⚫︎ Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
⚫︎ Knowledge of curriculum standards and best practices in instruction and assessment.
⚫︎ Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools.
